Project Longevity Hartford and the Hartford Police Department are working to provide recreational and educational activities aimed at youth most prone to producing street violence or being harmed by street violence to curb violence during peak crime and violence hours. They have been working with young people in the community for several weeks and meet regularly at 95 Edwards Street Hartford, CT on Friday nights between 6 PM to 2 AM. The kids are provided with food, snacks, and beverages and are directly engaged by Project Longevity team members and officers from the Hartford Police Department. Special thanks to Project Longevity Hartford Manager Shawn St. John, HPD Sgt. Steven Austin, HPD Deputy Chief Foley and our community partners who have taken time out of their Friday evenings to join the effort.
