Father Greg Boyle delivered a powerful message that reminded those in attendance that courage, clarity, empathy, resilience, humility, and the divine mandate, "Do to others what you want them to do to you" should be reflected in our core values and our efforts should always be centered on seeking direction from the communities we serve. Father Boyle is the founder and Director of Homeboy Industries which is a social enterprise that incorporates trauma-informed therapeutic practices and job opportunities to gang members to reduce violence and spur redemption. Project Longevity New Haven Manager Stacy Spell, Assistant US Attorney Peter Markle and Reentry & Community Outreach Coordinator Holly Wasilewski of the US Attorney's Office were able to join Father Boyle and exchange insights related to their efforts to reduce violence and serve their communities.
