Project Longevity New Haven's Stacy Spell joined the New Haven Police Department's SWAT Lieutenant John Healy, District Manager Rose Dell, and West Hills Solomon Crossing Resident Services Coordinator Jamila Bello for National Night Out.
National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie. Community and police partnerships are integral to the production of public safety and crucial to reducing gun violence in our communities. Although National Night Out is an annual event, we should work daily to create safer communities. Collectively we can identify mediums where we can build solidarity and focus on issues that are detrimental to our communities. We must also identify opportunities that strengthen the desire and support the demonstration of a unified approach that keeps our neighborhoods safe from gun violence.
