Project Longevity's Project Managers Harold Dimbo, Glendra Lewis, and Stacy Spell lead efforts that focus on reducing community level gun violence in Bridgeport, Hartford, and New Haven, respectively. The trio joined Moms Demand Action for their Virtual Day of Action. Many of the same social and economic factors that led to the gun violence epidemic in disadvantaged communities are also reasons why COVID-19 has affected underprivileged communities of color disproportionately. The Project Longevity team shared insights regarding the dual impact of a gun violence epidemic and an infectious disease pandemic in the communities they serve.
