The Park City has been working ardently to reduce gun violence in its communities and this has resulted in a historical reduction of gun violence. Project Longevity’s strategy reflects the fusion of efforts from the law enforcement community, citizens of Bridgeport, community-based non-profits, and the private sector.

For years Hartford has been known for disruptive gun violence that plagued its communities. Today the Heartbeat of Connecticut is being recognized for its law enforcement and community leadership which has worked to keep Hartford’s communities safe from gun violence.

From Dixwell and Dwight to Newhallville the citizens of New Haven are in a position to offer testimony regarding the incessant gun violence that has plagued the city for years. However, with an aggressive return to community policing, collaboration within the law enforcement community and partnership with community leaders New Haven is finally experiencing the quiet and stillness of communities safe from gun violence.
